The Foundation is committed to providing funds and necessary items for the benefit of the St. Christopher Children’s Home in St. Kitts, W.I.

The Home provides a loving home environment for up to 30 children ages 4-18 who have been removed from their natural homes by the Court due to overwhelming abuse and/or neglect at the hands of their family members. The Home accepts a child at a moment’s notice, as soon as notified by the Court, and serves as a surrogate family until s/he either is capable of living independently or can be safely reunited with his/her natural family. Despite serving as the respite home for these devastated children, St. Christopher Children’s Home depends solely on private donations to provide all of these children’s needs.

The Home Administrator prepares an updated “Wish List” that includes fungible goods that are desperately needed by these children. This list includes such basics as underwear, toothpaste, bedding, toiletries, etc. Donations made to It’s For The Children will be used to purchase these items for the children on a periodic basis. Monetary contributions will be deposited into the Foundation’s US bank account. These funds will then be used to fund/purchase needed items as prioritized in consultation with the President of the Board of Directors of St. Christopher’s Children’s Home on an ongoing basis. Whereas large items, such as appliances, furniture, and equipment are in great need, so are daily small items such as hair ribbons and rain coats. There is no amount of donation that is too small !
